Life is unfair, to live life without knowing this is unrealistic, but we can dream can’t we. We will be going on life’s difficult journey and suddenly something will bring us to our knees, we will ask God “why” and weep. Life has so many hard things that are thrown at you and you just have to learn to deal. A car accident puts your father in the hospital with life altering injures and your world seems dark, but then the birth of a child brings back the sunshine.

The journey of life twists and turns and when we finally reach the end of the path we realize we were sprinting to get to the end of the path without stopping to smell the roses. The journey has so much beauty a long the way don’t forget to stop and look, that’s where you find the sunshine.

Being in a wheelchair I have many things I wish I could do; my husband likes to go hiking and I wish so much I could do it with him, but I can’t. The only thing worse than me not being able to go with him would be him not going because I couldn’t. People need to make their life what they want it to be and not rely on others to do it for them. Sunshine can’t be brought to you, you have to find it.

My husbands mother has cancer. I don’t know what to say or do; nothing can make this better, I just hope there is sunshine around the corner. I believe that there is a purpose for everything, even if┬áthe only purpose is to remind us not to life for granted. Living everyday as our last and knowing every turn is a new experience and every bump in the road only makes you stronger is not just something to say when you need comfort but is a rule to live by.

  2. Wow. I love your perspective. Your heart for life is so sweet. Thank yo for sharing about finding the sunshine. I love that you say no one can bring it to you, you have to find it for yourself. So true. I also appreciate that you say the only thing worse than you not being able to join your husband is if he didn’t go hiking at all. Beautifully written. #cs5711
